Statement from the Wells Fargo Workers United-CWA National Bargaining Committee
(NATIONWIDE) – Wells Fargo employees at union branches elected a 5-member bargaining committee, along with alternates, to represent all union branch employees in contract negotiations. Union contract negotiations took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 5, 6 and 7 with Wells Fargo management representatives.
“Today we stand stronger and more united than ever as more teams at branches far and wide decide to take the bold step of joining our growing movement to ensure we have a seat at the table and that our voices are finally truly heard. With 22 union branches across 14 states and counting, we are fighting for one national contract to cover all of us because we are one union.
As the elected national bargaining committee for Wells Fargo Workers United-CWA, we are proud and excited to represent all of our coworkers at the bargaining table and to see this through until we reach a fair agreement that will make Wells Fargo a better place for us, our families, our communities and our customers.
We take the trust and responsibility bestowed upon us by our coworkers very seriously because the stakes are high and achieving a brighter future depends upon us having each other’s backs every step of the way. We stand committed to making Wells Fargo better for all of us by demanding adequate staffing, fair compensation, affordable health insurance, retirement security, and more. Together, as a union, we at Wells Fargo will successfully bargain collectively for the changes that will make our workplace better for everyone.”

About Wells Fargo Workers United-CWA
The Committee for Better Banks’ Wells Fargo Workers United-CWA is the only public effort by Wells Fargo employees to organize a union. With a union, workers are seeking to address chronic understaffing, unfair sales pressure, and unreasonable workloads to improve their working conditions and allow them to better support Wells Fargo customers. Since the union’s launch in 2021, Wells Fargo workers across virtually every state Wells Fargo operates in are organizing with WFWU-CWA, collaborating with shareholders, members of Congress, and officials at the Federal Reserve and the Department of Treasury to drive accountability at the country’s fourth largest bank.
About the Committee for Better Banks
The Committee for Better Banks, the only independent voice for frontline bank employees, comprises bank workers, community and consumer advocacy groups, and labor organizations coming together to improve conditions in the banking industry. Committee for Better Banks members include current and former employees of banks and credit unions across the country, including Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Citibank, and Bank of America.
