CAMPAIGN UPDATE SPECIAL EDITION: Breaking News! It's Official
We Won! Conduct Management Intake Dept. becomes first non-branch group to unionize!
Let's celebrate our first win at a non-branch department! Thank you to everyone who signed our petition in the last 24 hours demanding that Wells Fargo stop delaying the inevitable. It worked. Last night the NLRB certified the results of the union election for the Conduct Management Intake Department.
Since this group of Investigators are located across multiple sites with some people going to an office while others work fully remote, the election process was a little more involved. Half the group voted in person while the other half voted by mail ballot. All the ballots were counted on November 1, but it took several weeks for the NLRB to certify the results because Wells Fargo had laid some people off and then objected to them voting. Outrageous! Well not only have we filed Unfair Labor Practice charges to get everyone's jobs back, but Wells Fargo's shady tactics did not shake our resolve and we won the election in spite of their intimidation tactics.
Now it is official! We are union!
"Today is a historic moment for making a real difference at Wells Fargo, one of the largest banks in the country," said Roslynn Berkland, an Investigations Associate who helped lead the union effort.
Berkland wrote that she and her colleagues "are standing shoulder-to-shoulder" with the branches where Wells employees have previously won union elections. "We look forward to creating an open dialogue with Wells Fargo to improve working conditions in our department," said Berkland, an investigations associate at the bank.

Should Wells Fargo improve its impact on the environment?
Over the past couple of years, we’ve heard from thousands of employees who are upset about Wells Fargo’s Return To Office and accomomdations policies. For workers not in branches, we've been demanding fair and flexible work-from-home scheduling.
This will not only improve our quality of life, but also benefit the planet. For example, did you know commuting accounts for 90% of greenhouse gas emissions in the U.S.?
The timing of Wells Fargo disbanding the "Green Team" coinciding with increased pressure on employees to go into an office - even for employees who have been fully remote for years - is suspicious to say the least.
We thought we could fill the void and form our own WFWU-CWA Green Team.
Do you have ideas for how Wells Fargo could improve its environmental impact that would also improve your quality of life and working conditions? Please fill out this brief questionnaire and share your thoughts.
